IMPORTANT NOTICE. PLEASE READ

I discovered a pretty nasty bug that I accidentally created last minute that can cause the entire game to slowly breakdown. The woes of ones hubris and the desire to add "just one more feature". I can't update it anymore nor can I tell you where the fixed version is, and my week is ruined, but I still hope you somewhat enjoy the game even if it's a little buggy in its current state.

Please scroll to the bottom for a list of known issues and how to combat them. You should still read the entire description though.

IF THE GAME LOOKS FUNKY, CHANGE YOUR BROWSER ZOOM UNTIL THE GAME LOOKS NORMAL.

Build expressions using the provided operations and operands, then EVALUATE them to DEVALUATE the target number and reach the objective.

  • Select operators and operands to construct your expression.
  • EVALUATE to watch the target number DEVALUE before your very eyes
  • End the round once the objective is completed. The round will also end once you have no more EVALUATIONS.

Controls

Click operations and operands to add them to the EVALUATION queue.

Click and drag operations/operands in the queue to move them around.

Click operations/operands in the queue to remove them (or drag them out).

Right click modifiers to sell them for more EVALUATIONS.

Hit the big red EVALUATE button when ready.

(to use the reciprocal modifier, just click it. it'll be added to the queue like an operation or operand.)

This is my first game jam and also my first time trying to make a game that isn't complete garbage.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  1. Pressing "Play Again?" doesn't properly reset the game. Refresh the page when you lose to combat this. This prevents the game from breaking down after each loss.
  2. "Do not end on a multiple of [X]" is glitched. You need to end on a multiple of [X] to not lose. You'll know if you're on a multiple of [X] if the "End Round" button turns green.
  3. Adding a modifier when you already have 4 still counts it, even if you can't see it. This prevents you from selling it, meaning it will be permanently active. If you already have 4 modifiers, you need to sell one before ending the round to be able to sell the new one (unless of course you want to gamble and try and get a score multiplier modifier and stack it with itself. I can't exactly stop you lol).
